watch this incredible documentary series “Africa: A Voyage of Discovery”!!

Before I went to bed yesterday morning, I watched episode six of this incredible eight episode documentary on Africa titled “A Magnificent Cake.” It aired the year that I was born — in 1984. Host/African historian Basil Davidson gives viewers a first-hand look at the devastating effects racism (global white supremacy) and European imperialism/colonialism have had, and continues to have, on Africa and people of African descent throughout the world.

I experienced so many thoughts and emotions while watching this. So many “smdh” moments. I’m appalled that at 30, I’m just now finding out about this documentary and that I was never taught this information – the truth – in school. It is clear that the West is intentionally trying to suppress the truth, in order to maintain the myth of white racial superiority. Since they teach very little about Africa in the schools of the West, every student in America should be required to watch this series before receiving their high school diploma, so students of ALL races can have a better understanding of world history and the reason behind the widespread racial inequalities that exist today in America and the world.

Another indicator that this documentary is important: Amazon is selling the 4 VHS box set for $899.99!!!!
