“A jury has awarded a former employee of Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘n Waffles more than $1 million in damages after he sued the popular restaurant chain alleging racial discrimination and wrongful termination. Daniel Beasley, a black man, filed a racial discrimination and wrongful-termination suit against the soul food chain that’s popular with celebrities, including Snoop Dogg and Larry King. ‘It’s owned by an African American owner, but he gives full authority to the Hispanics to run it,’ Beasley said. According to Beasley’s lawsuit, managers at the restaurant on Pico Boulevard harassed him for being black and gave preferential treatment to Latino employees, including better schedules. The grandfather from Compton says he complained to human resources and the company’s owner, but nothing was done. He was later fired for what he says was retaliation.”

Fuck this place! I don’t care how good the food is or if the owner of the restaurant is black, we have to stop supporting those who don’t support and have love for us. It’s that simple.

Bernie Sanders before a Los Angeles crowd of more than 15,000: “There’s no president that will fight harder to end institutional racism.”

Bernie-2016-Sanders

See! There was a purpose to those recent ambushes by the Black Lives Matter advocates. If not, he probably would not have made this statement yesterday.

Since Bernie was in Los Angeles, a great place for him to start would be to address & eradicate the discriminatory employment and anti-competitive business practices, policies and procedures of Hollywood that prevent qualified African Americans and people of color from being employed at meaningful positions at the various talent agencies, studios, networks, production companies, etc. and having an equal opportunity at achieving the “American dream.”

He’s “Jewish,” so if doesn’t address this problem specifically, then he’s not as serious as he claims.

“Bill Maher recently declared on Jimmy Kimmel Live that ‘to be a liberal, you have to stand up for liberal principles…All my life I’ve been for people who have been the downtrodden, the oppressed, the minorities. I’ve been for blacks, gays, women, Mexicans….’ But a review of Maher’s crew roster for Real Time With Bill Maher, his HBO series shot in L.A., reveals only a single Hispanic or Asian surname. Maher was not made available for an interview, but a rep says, ‘I know his script supervisor is Latin.’ In contemporary Los Angeles, people still use the word ‘Latin’?”

Jazmine REUNITES with Stevie Wonder!!

jazandstevie

What another incredible moment for Jazmine! While out in L.A. to perform at Tyler Perry’s birthday party, Jazmine stopped by Stevie Wonder’s radio station to promote her new single and upcoming album. Little did she know, that Mr. Wonder was also in the building! I was told that Stevie joined in on the interview, discussing how he met Jazmine when she was under the age of 10 and how she was invited to perform at Stevie’s grandson’s birthday party! Now, more than 15 years later, their paths crossed once again, with Stevie saying that he’s been following her career ever since. 🙂 After the interview, the two musical prodigies had a little impromptu session. #legendary

Students of Color at UCLA’s Law School Discuss the Emotional Toll of Being Grossly Underrepresented In the Classroom

It is clear that UCLA has a problem with diversity given that this is the second video I’ve seen in the last six months made by minority students concerning this issue. This problem is not only limited to the classroom, given that most higher paying, higher status positions, as well as entire industries in America, are grossly overrepresented by whites/”Jews” of European descent due to employment discrimination occurring in the present. If you think not, please explain why I was the only African American employed at any level of the Agent Trainee program (e.g. zero African American or Hispanic Agent Trainees, Coordinators or Agents) when I began employment at the William Morris Agency in New York City on September 2, 2008….Any statistician would be able to tell you that the statistics provided in the video, as well as in my case, are “statistically significant,” not “due to chance” and are “probative of discrimination.”
