the Wall Street Journal reports that “[u]nemployment fell in every state and the nation’s capital last year—something that ha[s]n’t happened since 1984,” but makes absolutely no mention of the FACT that the LABOR PARTICIPATION RATE is at a 36-year LOW!!!!

These unemployment figures are not accurate and they know it, yet they keep misleading the American people into believing that our economy is IMPROVING! This is what you call FRAUD…and IRRESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM on the part of Josh Mitchell and the WSJ.

“The head of the Gallup polling firm recently backpedaled on his claim that the official unemployment rate being trumpeted by the White House, Wall Street and the media is a ‘big lie.’ Jim Clifton, the Chairman and CEO of Gallup, recently told CNBC that he was worried he might ‘suddenly disappear’ if he disputed the accuracy of what the U.S. government is reporting as unemployed Americans, Wall Street on Parade reported. ‘I think that the number that comes out of BLS [Bureau of Labor Statistics] and the Department of Labor is very, very accurate. I need to make that very, very clear so that I don’t suddenly disappear. I need to make it home tonight.'”

I’ve been saying these unemployment stats are being manipulated and are not a true reflection of how bad things truly are with our economy for quite some time. I began to feel this way after I saw the African American unemployment rate miraculously improved for blacks a month after it was reported that Af. Am. unemployment reached a 27 year peak at 16.7 percent in August of 2011. [I thought this was strange due to the fact that the Obama administration took no explicit measures to address this issue.] Over the last three and a half years, the unemployment rate for African Americans has steadily declined and is currently at 10.3 percent. Now that the CEO of a company well known for conducting polls has said something similar and then downplayed his statements (out of fear) is all the proof I need to know that we are all being lied to when it comes to the overall health of the American economy. Don’t be surprised when they start saying we’re in a “Depression” again…
